Driehaus Capital Management LLC is a privately-held investment management firm that manages global, emerging markets, US growth equity and alternative investment strategies. The firm has a diverse institutional client base comprised of corporate and public pensions, endowments, foundations, sub-advisory, family offices, wealth managers and financial advisors, globally.

We are seeking a summer intern to work with our Investment Management & Research Team. Our internships are designed to offer work experience that complements your classroom training and career goals. Interns learn the fundamentals of investing by working on various projects for Assistant Portfolio Mangers and Portfolio Managers.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyze financial data
• Assist senior investment professionals in the evaluation of investment opportunities
• Monitor performance of existing portfolio holdings
• Participate in investment discussions
• Assist with monitoring news on current holdings, gathering data on companies, and other projects as directed by the Portfolio Manager or Senior Analyst.

Internship Basics

• Days & Hours: Monday – Thursday, 9am-5pm.
• The duration and hours of the internship are flexible, depending on the team needs and individual chosen.
• Office located in River North neighborhood Chicago, IL

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• College student pursuing bachelor’s degree with an expected graduation date of May 2025 or later, with a demonstrated interest in the stock market.
• Business, Finance or Economics major preferred
• Strong desire to learn about asset management and financial services industry
• Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Strong interpersonal, analytic, and oral and written skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Proactive, innovative, and resourceful team player
